YOUTH (K-8TH)

HIGH SCHOOL

ADULT CLASSES

 

LEVEL 1: NOVICE

All new youth wrestlers start here!

For first year wrestlers ages 6-8yrs and 9-14yrs who are looking to learn the fundamentals of the sport. Wrestlers will learn the basics of the neutral position, most common takedowns, top and bottom referee’s position, and the general rules of the sport. The main goal here is for the wrestlers to have fun while developing the skills needed to build a basic foundation of wrestling. This is a required prerequisite to advance to the next level.

LEVEL 2: INTERMEDIATE

Next level for ages 9-14!

Open to first and second year wrestlers ages 9-14yrs who have successfully completed the Novice class, have a good understanding of the techniques taught, and are looking to gain a more in depth understanding of the fundamentals of the sport. Wrestlers will focus on positional techniques and will start to learn details of the most common takedowns, top and bottom referees position, and will further their knowledge of the rules of the sport.

LEVEL 3: ADVANCED

You made it to advanced!

For advanced wrestlers ages 9-14yrs with 2+ years experience, are actively competing, and have been asked to join. Wrestlers will learn advanced offensive and defensive fundamentals necessary to compete at a higher level. Technical adjustments will be made to enhance their knowledge in positions and they will learn how to best chain advanced techniques together to be able to score.

HIGH SCHOOL

For high school wrestlers who want to eliminate their weaknesses and sharpen their skills. Wrestlers will learn advanced offensive and defensive fundamentals necessary to compete at a higher level. Technical adjustments will be made to enhance their knowledge in positions and how to best chain advanced techniques together to be able to score.
